DFB always welcomes the Vietnam women’s football team for training
On the afternoon of April 15, President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan had a working session with President of the DFB Bernd Johannes Neuendorf in Germany.

During the meeting, DFB’s President Bernd Johannes Neuendorf emphasized that the DFB is always ready to support Vietnamese football as well as welcome the Vietnam women’s football team for training.
In 2023, in the process of preparing for the first time in history to participate in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the Vietnam women’s football team went to Germany for training and received very good support from the DFB and was about to arrange for friendly matches with women’s football clubs: Eintracht Frankfurt, Schott Mainz and especially the match with the German women’s football team (June 25, 2023). Although losing 1-2 in the friendly match with the German women’s team, the Vietnam women’s team had a commendable performance against the team ranked second on the FIFA rankings and Thanh Nha scored 1 goal.
In 2024, although international women’s football tournaments will not take place, in which the AFF Women’s Football Championship has been adjusted to 2025, this year is the period of preparing forces for women’s football in the region, especially the Vietnam women’s team. It is expected that in 2024 the Vietnam women’s team will have a gathering and training session in Germany to prepare for important tasks in 2025, which is to attend SEA Games 33, the AFF Women’s Football Championship and Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers.
