Doctor Choi Ju-young was honored to receive the Medal of VFF
In the afternoon of Jan 13, VFF organised a ceremony to present the VFF Medal to Doctor Choi Ju-young, recognizing the contributions of Doctor Choi Ju-young to Vietnamese football in general and the Vietnamese team in particular.
The delegation included Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – VFF Acting President, Mr. Le Hoai Anh – VFF General Secretary, and representatives of function committees and departments of VFF.
On behalf of VFF leaders speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary Le Hoai Anh thanked Dr. Choi Yu-young for his valuable contributions during the 3 years of accompanying the Vietnam national team and U23 Vietnam, since the end of the year 2018 until now. With nearly 20 years of knowledge and experience serving the Korean national teams, Dr. Choi Ju Young has made important contributions to the rehabilitation of players’ injuries. Key tournaments such as ASIAD, AFF Suzuki Cup, Asian Cup, AFC U23 Championship Qualifier, and World Cup Qualifier, etc. have accompanied him in his physiotherapy work.
Dr. Choi Ju-young, even though he has turned 70 years old, he still retains a special enthusiasm and passion for his work. Sharing his feelings on the day of receiving the Medal of the Vietnam Football Federation, Dr. Choi Ju-young said that 3 years working in Vietnam is the time that left him with the best feelings and memories. “I have been given very good conditions to do the job that I love and it was so emotional, it is an honor to have my devotion and dedication to have contributed to the overall success of Vietnamese football, as well as being able to receive the award from VFF in a solemn ceremony today. Three years is a long time to say goodbye. Indeed, I am passionate about work, so I hope that if there are favorable conditions, I will have the opportunity to return to Vietnam to work,” said Dr. Choi Ju-young.
