(Ho Chi Minh City): Vietnam has identified the opponent in the play-off Thailand after this team overcome Myanmar to a 2-1 lead in turn closely last Group B match yesterday (19 May).

Before this match, although undetermined opponent of Vietnam but Coach Tran Van Phat said: “I think Vietnam met in two rival teams are on the same and a chance to win is always 50/50. The Vietnam Women’s players will play their best, devoted audience with the highest spirit of determination”.
After securing a place in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup fifth-place play-off Thailand coach Nuengrutai Srathongvian said her team will give their all when they try to qualify for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in their history.
Thailand will face tournament hosts Vietnam on Wednesday at Thong Nhat Stadium in a repeat of the 2013 SEA Games final which saw Thailand win 2-1 to clinch the gold medal.
And there will be even more at stake this time around with the winners of the match claiming a place in the 2015 FIFA World Cup in Canada.
“At the moment the players are very tired, but we would like to qualify for the World Cup and we will do everything we can to prepare properly for the match against Vietnam.”
