Exciting the 6th Vietnam Former Football Player Festival in 2022
This afternoon (August 17), at Binh Duong Stadium (Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Vietnam Union of Former Football Players jointly organized the 6th Festival of Vietnamese football player Hong Ha – Truong Son – Cuu Long in 2022.

Attending the event, there were Mr. Cao Van Chong – Deputy Director of Binh Duong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vice President of VFF, Chairman of Festival Organizing Committee; Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan – Member of the Executive Committee, Chairman of the VFF Grassroots Committee; Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien – Director of Grassroots, Coaching Education and Affiliated MAs of VFF, Deputy Chairman of Festival Organizing Committee; Mr. Vu Duc Thanh – President of Binh Duong Provincial Football Association; Mr. Nguyen Kim Phung – Vice President of Binh Duong Provincial Football Association; Mr. Le Hong Cuong – General Director of Becamex Binh Duong Club; Mr. Tran Van Thanh – Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese former football players, Deputy Chairman of the Festival Organizing Committee; Mr. Mai Ngoc Khoa – Chairman of Binh Duong Stadium, Member of Festival Organizing Committee.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Cao Van Chong – VFF Vice President welcomed the former players to participate in the event and emphasized that this is an opportunity for the former players to look back at the memories, and spread the passion to generations of young Vietnamese players today.
“After 5 successful festivals, VFF continues to organize the annual Festival, from which we have more conditions to express our gratitude and honor to generations and people who once devoted themselves to the development of Vietnamese football. Through the Vietnam Union of Former Footballers, VFF hopes that the connection between former players and the VFF and younger generations will become closer, contributing to creating the force to promote the country’s football,” said Mr.Cao Van Chong – VFF Vice President.
On behalf of VFF, Mr. Cao Van Chong – Vice President thanked the sponsors of Becamex IDC Corporation, Binh Duong Football Club, Binh Duong Provincial Football Association, Management Board of Binh Duong Stadium, and other authorities in Binh Duong province,… have supported the Festival to be held successfully.
The Festival of Former Players is organized annually by VFF and the Vietnam Union of Former Footballers with the desire to show gratitude and respect to individuals who have been making contributions to the development of Vietnamese football. This year, the event was attended by 135 former players from all over the country such as Tran Cong Minh, Le Khac Chinh, Quan Trong Hung, Duong Ngoc Hung, Phan Cong Thin, and Tran Vu. , Ho Thanh Cang, Nguyen Phuong Trung…; former female players Do Thi Ngoc Cham and Van Thi Thanh.
The main activity of the Festival is the friendly matches between Hong Ha, Truong Son, and Cuu Long football teams that take place in an exciting, interactive, and meaningful atmosphere.
After the match time, the former players continue to attend the Gala and the medal awarding ceremony on the evening of the same day at Becamex Hotel, Binh Duong New City.
