Futsal Club Licensing Seminar 2022
On the morning of August 30, at the VFF’s house, a seminar on Licensing of Futsal Clubs in 2022 was organised by the VFF and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
The delegation, on behalf of AFC, there were Mr. Mahajan Vasudevan Nair – Head of Club Licensing Unit Professional Football Department; Mr. Izzat Nazrin – Officer of Club Licensing Unit Professional Football Department. On the side of VFF, there were Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Standing member of the Executive Committee, Chairman of Futsal Committee; Mr. Pham Ngoc Vien – Chairman of Club Licensing Committee; Mr. Le Dang Tung – Chairman of Licensing Complaints Handling Committee; Mr. Le Hoai Anh – VFF General Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Ca – Director of VOV’s Center of Advertising and Communication Services in Ho Chi Minh City and representatives of 11 futsal clubs.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Standing Member of the Executive Committee, Standing member of the Executive Committee, Chairman of Futsal Committee thanked the AFC for the support and the cooperation of the clubs. “In recent times, Vietnamese futsal has achieved certain successes, including the success of the national futsal team while twice times joined in the FIFA Futsal World Cup and excellently reached the round of 16 as well as winning high rankings in regional tournaments.
“These successes have a great contribution from the clubs. The success of the clubs will be an important part for the development of Vietnamese futsal. Therefore, the development of professional-oriented futsal clubs, getting closer to the continental and world tournaments is the content that is always interested and promoted by VFF. To achieve this, the clubs need to ensure the licensing criteria as prescribed in Appendix 6 of the AFC Club Licensing Regulations approved by the AFC Executive Board on October 18, 2021,” Mr. Tran Anh Tu shared.
AFC representative, Mr. Mahajan Vasudevan Nair – Head of Professional Football Licensing Department affirmed: “Futsal is one of the fastest ways to push Vietnamese football to the continental and world level. Futsal is also Vietnam’s strength in the world arena. Therefore, developing futsal is the right direction of Vietnamese football.”
Following the licensing seminars for clubs participating in the National Championship (V.League), the National First Division, and women’s football clubs, the 2022 Futsal Licensing Seminar is an opportunity for the club directly discussed and exchanged issues on club licensing activities with experts from AFC and VFF leaders. At the seminar, representatives of the clubs had shared on the club’s issues such as difficulties in the competition plan, financial problems, coach training. On that basis, AFC experts, VFF leaders and representatives of functional committees and departments had specific answers and orientations for each club.
