Head coach Park Hang-seo: “Vietnam team tried all the best”
Speaking at the press conference after the 2nd leg semi-final with the Thailand team, head coach Park Hang-seo admitted that the Vietnam team had some problems in the first leg so missed the championship. He also affirmed that his team tried all their best in the second match with Thailand.

Head coach Park Hang-seo said that: “That is the result, we lost and cannot join in the final match. However that formation and players are our best selection. The first leg had some problems, I admit the lose but we tried our best”.
About the adjustment, head coach Park Hang-seo analyzed: “We used Tuan Anh to change the tactics. Thanh Chung played higher so need someone support, and that is only Tuan Anh. Van Xuan and Xuan Manh are defenders, but they have the attacking ability”.
“We used Van Toan, Cong Phuong to play in the border. But they were hurry-up so all pass to the central. I’m not goofy to use they like that while Thailand has tall defenders”.
Answer the question if Vietnam team is still the strongest team in ASEAN, head coach Park Hang-seo said: “I have no assessment to make on that but I’m confident that we can play with all the teams in the region”.
