Newly appointed coach of the Vietnamese women”s football team Ngo Le Bang submitted to the Vietnam Football Federation a list of 24 players to be called up on March 18 in preparation for the clash with Japan in the second qualifying round of the 2008 Olympic Games.

Newly appointed coach of the Vietnamese women”s football team Ngo Le Bang submitted to the Vietnam Football Federation a list of 24 players to be called up on March 18 in preparation for the clash with Japan in the second qualifying round of the 2008 Olympic Games.

The Sports Daily reported there were some changes in the squad. Centreback Bui Thi Tuyet has been removed from the squad due to an injury. Kim Thoa from Ho Chi Minh City has been called up to replace her. Also, the team welcome back Dieu Huyen and veterans Mai Lan and Nhieu Thi Thuy Linh from Cua Ong Coal, alongside newcomers Nguyen Thi Nga from Ha Tay.

The list of 24 players is:

Goalkeepers: Dang Thi Kieu Trinh and Le Thi Tuyen Mai from Ho Chi Minh City, and Duong Khanh Ly from Ha Tay;

Defenders: Dao Thi Mien and Nguyen Thi Nga from Ha Tay, Do Thi Kim Thoa and Ngo Thi Hanh from Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh from Hanoi and Nguyen Hai Hoa from Thai Nguyen;

Midfielders: Nhieu Thuy Linh, Nguyen Thi Dieu Huyen and Nguyen Mai Lan fro Cua Ong Coal, Au Thi Thu Que, Tu Thi Phu and Nguyen Thi Kim Tien from Hanoi, Tran Kim Hong and Doan Kim Chi from Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Thi Huong, Van Thi Thanh from Ha Nam, and Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet from Ha Tay; 

Fowards: Bui Thi Tuyet Mai, Vu Thi Huyen Linh from Hanoi, Le Thi Hong Nga and Do Thi Hai Anh from Ho Chi Minh City.
