VFF meet and appologize Mr Nguyen Van Vinh

At the inaugural ceremony of the artificial turf of Vietnam youth football training center on 1^stAugust, 2008, there was a regretful situation between one official of Projects department of National youth football training center and one reporter of Reuters Agency in Vietnam, and it has made bad ideas about this matter as well as bad influence on reputation of VFF.

On 4^th August, 2008, at VFF head quater, representative of VFF had a meeting with Mr Nguyen Van Vinh – Local journalist of Reuters Agency in Vietnam to clarify the matter.

At the meeting, Mr Nguyen Van Vinh told that because Mr Gia Xuan had stood on the field and blocked the view of working journalists, Mr Vinh came into the field and pulled Mr Xuan from the behind, therefore, Mr Xuan turned around and took the reaction. According to Mr Vinh’s opinion, it was simply a reaction. Mr Vinh emphasized that this action is possibly natural and by accident and Mr Vinh came to VFF just for the purpose of clarifying the matter, not for suing. Mr Vinh also confirmed that the private attitude of some chanels about this matter is not the his personal idea.

With the attitude of looking straightly at the matter, representative of VFF gave the official apology towards Mr Nguyen Van Vinh  for this regretful situation. Mr Nguyen Van Vinh thanked VFF for spending time to work with him and confirmed that he would continue to cooperate with VFF, especially in the media aspect.
