Interesting score chases of under-21 finals

Interesting score chases were seen on September 30, the third match day of Thanh Nien newspaper-sponsored football finals in Da Nang.

In a match starting at 7:30am, Ca Mau were the side to go ahead after 22 minutes, with Thai Duong firing home. Hoang Anh Gia Lai equalised 18 minutes later with a goal by Cong Phong.

Four minutes into the second half, Cong Phong set up Tang Tuan to score another goal for Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

Ca Mau equalised in a counterattack with a goal by Hoang Khang.

It was Cong Phong”s day, who scored his second goal to seal a 3-2 victory for Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

Two hours later, Da Nang and Midako Nam Dinh drew 1-1. Ngoc Linh opened the scoring on 20 minutes. However, the striker was then sent off and Midako Nam Dinh were in troubles due to attack after attack by the hosts. Fullback Hoang Quang cancelled out Ngoc Linh”s effort.

At 2am, Thanh Long took a 2-0 lead with goals by Hoang Giang and Bao Toan, but Huda Hue equalised by Trong Trung and Do Thang. Hoang Giang gave an excellent run from the centre of the field before finding the net for the second time, sealing a 3-2 victory for Thanh Long.

In a later match, Tien Giang drew 1-1 with Binh Dinh. Thanh Tai opened the scoring for Binh Dinh and Long Giang equalised with a spot kick.
