PVF won the 2024/25 National U19 Football Championship
A narrow victory over Sông Lam Nghệ An helped PVF claim the championship title in the 2024/25 National U19 Football Championship.

The final match of the 2024/25 National U19 Football Championship was a clash between PVF and Sông Lam Nghệ An. This was expected to be an exciting encounter as both teams had shown excellent form, proving themselves to be strong title contenders. However, the first half saw PVF take the upper hand. The northern team dominated possession in the opening 45 minutes, with attacks primarily directed to the wings. Despite this, Sông Lam Nghệ An played with great focus and were ready to engage in hard challenges. Players like Hoàng Sơn and Quốc Toản couldn’t create much of a difference for PVF in the first half. On the other side, Sông Lam Nghệ An concentrated all their efforts on defense. Văn Tâm and his teammates made things difficult for PVF, and in fact, Lê Phát had very few opportunities to score. It was no surprise that the first half ended in a 0-0 draw.
In the second half, coach Nguyễn Duy Đông made further personnel adjustments, bringing on Nguyễn Sỹ Mạnh Dũng and Nguyễn Trọng Đức Vũ. The coach’s decision quickly paid off. In the 67th minute, from a well-taken corner kick by Nguyễn Trọng Đức Vũ, U19 Vietnam player Nguyễn Lê Phát headed the ball into the net, scoring the opening goal for PVF. With nothing to lose, Sông Lam Nghệ An pushed forward in search of an equalizer. However, despite their efforts, the team from Nghệ An struggled to break through PVF’s well-organized defense and hardly managed to threaten goalkeeper Huy Hoàng’s goal. In the final minutes, PVF even had the chance to extend their lead, but Lê Phát missed a clear opportunity. With this victory over Sông Lam Nghệ An, PVF officially claimed the championship title of the 2024/25 National U19 Football Championship.
