The ceremony was also attended by representatives of leaders of VFF functional departments, VPF Company, members of the Organizing Committee, and all assessors, referees, assistant referees participating in the training program, and many representative of media agencies.
Reporting on the results of the 4 days of training, instructor Dang Thanh Ha said that basically all the referees and assistant referees made great efforts to comprehend the contents of the training program. Most of them got above average, of which more than 30 people got 70-80/100 points, 7 people got over 80/100 points. In particular, through 2 practice sessions with real situations on the field, the referees and assistant referees have shown good handling skills and made accurate decisions. That is a positive signal after a long time not participating in the management of matches due to the influence of the Covid-19 epidemic, thereby aiming to complete the task well in the new season.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training program, VFF General Secretary Le Hoai Anh also acknowledged the efforts of the team of assessors and referees in the process of preparing for the new award. Mr. Le Hoai Anh emphasized: “In recent times, Vietnamese football has achieved positive results. Teams show improvement in the international arena, while clubs also have a huge investment for the new season. That requires the referee team to also strive to improve the ability to manage the match, comply with the rules of the game, thereby not only contributing to ensuring the success of the tournament in general but also helping to guide the players to play more professionally on the pitch.”
Mr. Le Hoai Anh added that the 2022 season will have breaks to serve the teams focus and compete in international tournaments. Therefore, in addition to cultivating professional qualifications and mastering the updates on the rules of the game, the referees still need to maintain good physical strength, so that when the tournament returns, they must be ready to do their duties.
Meanwhile, according to the head of the VFF Arbitration Committee Duong Van Hien, with the potential risks due to the Covid-19 epidemic still developing complicatedly, the force of referees and assistant referees participating in professional tournaments country 2022 is still thin and will face many difficulties. Mr. Duong Van Hien said that this year, the Arbitration Board has carefully prepared the contents to be included in the training program to provide the team of referees with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure the completion of the training program. mission. In addition, in the face of complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Arbitration Committee also had plans to solve the problem of the number of referees for the 2022 season. Specifically, the referees participating in the program but did not meet the fitness level will be given the opportunity to re-check this content during the test next month, instead of having to wait for the mid-term training as usual. The Arbitration Committee also plans to prepare a contingent of backup referees in case a referee on duty is infected with Covid-19.
