Summary of the Organization of the 2024 HDBank National Futsal Championships and Plans for the 2025 Edition
On the afternoon of January 9th, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Radio (58 Quan Su, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), the Conference to Summarize the Organization of the 2024 HDBank National Futsal Championships and Discuss the Plans for the 2025 Edition took place.

The conference was attended by Mr. Đỗ Tiến Sỹ – Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of the Vietnam Radio (VOV); Mr. Trần Minh Hùng – Deputy General Director of Vietnam Radio, Vice President of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, and other leaders of VOV’s departments and offices.
On the side of the Vietnam Football Federation, the conference was attended by Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn – President of the Vietnam Football Federation; Mr. Trần Anh Tú – Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation; Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Hội – Permanent Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation; Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation, the General Secretariat, and representatives of the functional departments of the Vietnam Football Federation. On the side of the sponsor HDBank, Mrs. Lương Quế Trân – Director of Marketing & PR at the Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) was present.
2024 marks the 8th consecutive year that the Vietnam Radio (VOV) has collaborated with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to organize the top futsal tournaments, with the continued support of the Diamond Sponsor, Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank).
The conference took place in the context of Vietnamese sports, in general, and futsal, in particular, achieving many proud accomplishments. The Vietnam Women’s Futsal National Team defeated the Thailand Futsal Team (ranked 6th in the world) in the final to win the ASEAN Women’s Futsal Championship 2024 for the first time. Prior to that, the Vietnam Men’s Futsal National Team also finished as runners-up in the 2024 ASEAN Futsal Championship.
At the conference, representatives of the organizing committee summarized the organization of the futsal tournaments held in 2024, highlighted the achievements that were made, addressed the issues that need improvement for better future organization, and outlined the goals and tasks for 2025.
According to the report from the organizing committee, in 2024, the level of media coverage for each HDBank Futsal tournament was significantly enhanced, with professionalism in organization, creativity in promotion, and close collaboration with media channels. The tournaments not only attracted public attention but also created memorable moments and contributed to elevating the value of sports in Vietnam.
The positive impact of the tournaments has proven that futsal is gradually becoming one of the most exciting and popular sports in the Vietnamese sports community. According to statistics, nearly 16,000 spectators attended the matches in person over the 3 seasons, an increase of 60% compared to 2023. In addition, more than 6.5 million views of the tournaments were recorded across various platforms over the 3 seasons, marking a 14% increase compared to 2023.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Đỗ Tiến Sỹ – Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of Vietnam Radio (VOV) praised and highly appreciated the collaboration between VOV, VFF, and the sponsor HDBank in successfully organizing the tournaments in 2024.
The General Director of VOV expressed hope that in 2025, the organizing committee would build upon the achievements of 2024 while continuously innovating to attract more audience interest. The General Director emphasized that, with many significant sports events taking place in 2025, the organizing committee must carefully plan and schedule the tournaments in a scientific and reasonable manner to ensure even greater success for the HDBank Futsal Championships.
On the side of the Vietnam Football Federation, Mr. Trần Quốc Tuấn – President of the Vietnam Football Federation, reviewed the significant milestones of Vietnamese futsal in 2024. The VFF President affirmed: “The organization of futsal has been gradually improved and professionalized. As the Chairman of the AFC Competitions Committee, I can confirm that the level and scale of futsal tournaments in Vietnam have reached continental standards. The large viewership across various platforms shows the growing appeal and professionalism in the organization, which is continuously improving.”
