The 6th VFF’s Club Licensing Committee’s meeting in 2023
This afternoon (October 16), at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the VFF’s Club Licensing Committee had the 6th meeting in 2023 to carry out licensing work for clubs to participate in AFC club competitions and national competitions for the 2024/25 season.
Attending the meeting, on behalf of VFF were Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President; Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – Secretary General. On the side of the VFF’s Club Licensing Committee, there was Mr. Pham Ngoc Vien – Chairman of the Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi My Dung – Deputy Chairperson of the Committee, and members. On the side of the Appeal Body, there was Mr. Le Dang Tung – Chairman; Mr. Nguyen Hai Huong – Deputy Chairman, and members; along with representatives of functional departments of VFF and Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF).
At the meeting, on behalf of VFF, Vice President Tran Anh Tu said: “Today, we start the licensing work for the new 2024/25 season. In recent years, licensing work has been gradually professionalized and increasingly focused on quality. This is a big step forward for VFF in ensuring professionalism for the National competitions, complying with licensing regulations, and gradually overcoming difficulties and limitations. Based on the requirements of the AFC, we will continue to focus on licensing work, ensuring the principles and regulations of AFC club and the national competitions.”
At the meeting, a representative of the VFF leadership, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi announced the decision of the VFF Executive Committee on October 14 approving the appointment of Mr. Luu Danh Minh to hold the position of Licensing Committee member to replace Mr. Le. Hoai Anh accepts a new assignment. With the A/AFC certificate course and experience as an assistant coach of national teams, Mr. Luu Danh Minh will support the Licensing Committee in evaluating sports criteria S.01 on the Development Program of youth football in clubs as well as other professional work.
After that, the members listened to reports on licensing work for the 2023/24 season as well as plans for the 2024/25 season including an expected timetable of licensing work for clubs who participate in the national and AFC competitions; AFC’s opinion on the proposed exception to participate in the 2024/25 tournament. In addition, the meeting also summarized some contents at the AFC 2023 Professional Football Conference; Draft amendments and supplements to several articles of VFF’s Club Licensing Regulations. Besides that, in accordance with the AFC club Licensing Quality Standard, VFF held an Annual Internal Review meeting to assessment of licensing implementation in 2023.
