The JFA and VFF hold a seminar to analyze the 2022 World Cup

On the morning of April 10, a seminar on analyzing the 2022 World Cup and the future of football between the Japan Football Association and the Vietnam Football Federation took place with the participation of the coach and assistant of the Vietnam football club.

This is a meaningful activity in the series of 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries of Vietnam and Japan, therefore, the Seminar is honored to welcome the presence of Japan Ambarssador in Vietnam – Mr. Yamada Takio.

On the VFF side, there were Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary and representatives of the General Secretariat; Mr. Nguyen Sy Hien – Chairman of the National Coach Council; Mr. Pham Ngoc Vien- Chairman of Licensing Committee; Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan – Head coach of U20 Vietnam and U17 Vietnam and the coaches, assistants of clubs in Vietnam.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Yamada Takio – Ambassador of Japan in Vietnam emphasized: “In recent years, Vietnam football has continuously achieved spectacular breakthroughs. At the SEA Games, both men’s and women’s teams won gold medals twice in a row, thereby affirming their leading position in Southeast Asia.

In March, Mr. Philippe Troussier – who used to be the head coach of the Japanese national team, was appointed as the head coach of Vietnam. Knowing that the Vietnam team is aiming to attend the World Cup in 2026, I have high expectations for their great progress in the future. I also look forward to witnessing the success of the younger generation, including the Vietnam women’s team participating in the World Cup for the first time this summer. In addition, is the Vietnam women’s U20 team under the guidance of coach Ijiri Akira.

This year is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam, a period when the relationship between the two countries, which is said to have “infinite potential”, marks a remarkable development. Football is a popular sport in both countries and a driving force for promoting friendship and exchange relations between Japan and Vietnam.

 

On behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation, General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi emphasized: “The football seminar had the participation of experienced experts sent by JFA such as Mr. Ono Takeshi – Deputy Technical Director of the Japan Football Federation and Mr. Kawamata Noriyuki. – Goalkeeper project manager of the Japan Football Federation. With the guidance and teaching of two experts from Japan, VFF hopes that Vietnam trainees will have the opportunity to acquire and exchange new and updated knowledge from the advanced football background of Japan and of the world in general.

Although the football seminar took place only for one day, with the topic of Analysis of the FIFA World Cup and its relationship with Vietnamese football, it attracted the participation of about 40 representatives from V-league and First-class clubs, women’s clubs and football training centers. The Organizing Committee will create all conditions for the participants to successfully complete their tasks, contributing to the success of the seminar.

The football seminar between the Vietnam Football Federation and Japan Football Association aims to carry out the work of the Vietnam Football Federation in 2023, with the goal of creating a forum for sharing and exchanging experiences between clubs and youth football training centers across the country. On the morning of April 10, a seminar to analyze the 2022 World Cup and the future of football took place, with the cooperation between the Japan Football Association (JFA) and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
