The VFF Executive Committee decided many important issues at the 2nd meeting of the 9th term
On the afternoon of December 5, the 2nd meeting of the 9th VFF Executive Committee (term of 2022-2026), with many important contents on the agenda was held at the headquarters of the VFF.
Attending the meeting were the Standing Committee, including Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – VFF President, Tran Anh Tu – Vice President, Nguyen Xuan Vu – Vice President, Nguyen Trung Kien – Vice President; members of the Executive Committee of the 9th term (term 2022-2022); Chairpersons of Committees: Inspection Committee, Handling Complaints; representatives of Bongdaplus, Vietnam Youth Football Training Center; The General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary are convened to report on related work at the Meeting; leaders of VFF functional departments.
Speaking at the meeting, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized that this meeting is very important for the direction and management of football activities in Vietnam in the upcoming time. In addition to approving the operation plan of the teams in 2023 and the amendments and supplements in the Working Regulations of the Executive Committee, the Functional Committees, and the Regulation on speaking and providing information to the press, The meeting unified opinions and made resolutions for the personnel of the Executive Committee, function committees, and at the same time conduct additional elections for the position of Standing Member of the Executive Committee for the term 2022- 2026. This is necessary work to consolidate the whole machine and help effectively deploy Vietnamese football activities, towards the successful implementation of the goals set out in the 9th term.
With that spirit, the meeting closely followed the agenda, discussed, contributed ideas, and agreed to approve the report on the work of November 2022 and the implementation of tasks in December 2022 and January 2023 presented by General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi. The conference also gave opinions on the domestic, foreign and competitive training plans of the national teams in 2023, agreeing on the view to create the most favorable conditions for the teams to prepare for the upcoming tournaments. Key goals include: AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022, World Cup Qualifier 2026 for the national men’s team; SEA Games 32, Asian U23 Qualifier and Asiad 19 for the national U23 team; Olympic qualifying, Women’s World Cup 2023, SEA Games 32, Asiad 19 for the national women’s team; The Asian futsal qualifier competes for a place in the 2024 futsal World Cup for the national futsal team; AFC U20 Asian Cup 2023 for the national U20 team; 2023 AFC U17 Asian Cup for the national U17 team; regional and continental tournaments for the national U17 and U20 women’s teams, etc. The Executive Committee also approved the policy of investing in equipment to monitor and analyze the training performance of players from support sources of FIFA and other legal sources of funding.
The meeting agreed to establish and appoint the Chairpersons and members of 12 VFF Committees.
For the Arbitration Committee, due to the important role and specific tasks of the Committee, the meeting spent a lot of time discussing, evaluating, and considering personnel before agreeing on the appointment of Mr. Dang Thanh Ha to assume the position of Chairman of the Arbitration Committee for the term 2022-2026. Supporting the new Chairman of the Arbitration Committee are Mr. Truong Quoc Dung, Hoang Anh Tuan, Vo Minh Tri, and Vo Quang Vinh.
The Executive Committee assigns the Committees to discuss tasks to perform members’ responsibilities, powers and activities in accordance with the Charter of the VFF, the working regulations of the functional boards as well as relevant regulations of the VFF and report to the Executive Committee.
To improve the refereeing work and enhance the professional work for national professional tournaments, the Executive Committee unanimously approved the policy of investing in VAR technology equipment for the National Professional Football League, including 02 VAR vehicles from the support project of FIFA and 02 VAR vehicles directly invested by VPF company. In parallel with that is the training of human resources to operate the VAR system, trying to meet the requirements of FIFA so that VAR can soon be applied in the 2023 season.
The meeting also agreed that Vietnamese foreign players who can register to participate in national football tournaments are male or female football players who have a biological father or mother or grandfather or grandmother (grandparents, foreign players) is a Vietnamese, assigns the General Secretary to report to the competent state management agency to supplement regulations on player registration in the Regulations on Professional and Non-Professional Football.
Based on the requirements and duties and regulations of the VFF, at the meeting, the Executive Committee elected to additionally elect the position of Standing Member. As a result, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi was trusted for the position of Standing Member of the Executive Committee of the VFF term 9th (2022-2026).
