The Vietnam women’s team completed training in Hai Phong
After 3 weeks of training in Hai Phong, on Tuesday afternoon (September 12), the Vietnam women’s team will return to the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center to complete the final preparations before moving to China, attending ASIAD 19.
Sharing about the recent training period, head coach Mai Duc Chung said: “The Vietnam women’s team is in the transition period between two generations, so in the preparation for ASIAD 19 this time there are many young players.
In general, the young players have kept up with the lesson plan and requirements of the coaching staff, and have approached the team’s tactics.”
During the training period in Hai Phong, the Vietnam women’s team had 5 friendly matches with local teams. The most recent were 2 matches against the veteran team in Hai Phong. “Recently, the coaching staff split the team into 2 squads to compete with the same opponent. From there, young players can observe, compare and learn how to deploy situations on the field,” coach Mai Duc Chung added.
On September 12, the Vietnam women’s team will return to the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and continue training here for another week before leaving to attend ASIAD 19. As planned, coach Mai Duc Chung and the team will travel to Wenzhou (China) at noon on September 19.
