Training camp in Japan, the Vietnam women’s futsal team won their first practice match
On the afternoon of April 23, the Vietnam women’s futsal team played their first friendly match during their training camp in Japan in preparation for the 2026 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship. They faced Fugador Sumida Ladies FC and won the match 2-0.
The match was played at a high tempo, providing many positive signs for coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng and his players.
Thanh Ngân showed great form by scoring a brace in the 3rd and 8th minutes, helping the Vietnam team quickly take control of the game.
After the match, coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng shared: “The opposing team has relatively good-quality players. They played with high intensity and continuously pushed the pace of the match.”
On the side of the Vietnam team, they started the match well and were able to control the game. However, the players need to improve their finishing ability, and at certain moments, the defense still struggled to manage some situations effectively.
Despite a few areas that need adjustment, the head coach of the Vietnam women’s futsal team emphasized that the coaching staff was satisfied with the team’s performance in this first friendly match.
According to the plan, tomorrow (April 24), the entire team will have a rest day to recover physically. The coaching staff will hold a technical meeting with the players, analyzing video footage of the match to learn from it and correct mistakes, preparing for the next match against the Japan women’s futsal team on April 25.
