Two Vietnamese doctors award AFC Distinguished Service Bronze Award
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced the list of medical doctors honored at the 3rd AFC Medical Awards, Vietnam has two doctors honored to receive the Bronze Award of the Department of Medicine is Doctor Nguyen Trong Hien, and Doctor Pham Thi Thuy.

Doctor Nguyen Trong Hien is one of the senior doctors in the field of sports medicine in Vietnam with many valuable contributions and dedications. Doctor Hien used to hold the position of doctor of the men national team from 1995 to 2012 and is also a member of the Medical Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation. Currently, Dr. Hien is holding the position of Head of Sports Medicine Department of Hanoi National Sports Training Center.
Along with Vietnamese football, Dr. Pham Thi Thuy was the doctor of the national women’s football team for 18 years from 2000-2018. Dr. Thuy also held the role of Deputy Head of Outpatient Department, Vietnam Sports Hospital.
The award ceremony shall be held in conjunction with the 7th AFC Medical Conference Qatar 2022 from 6 – 10 March 2022.
