U20 Vietnam team focused on the first training session at Fergana
On the afternoon of February 27, U20 Vietnam had the first training session after arriving in Fergana, Uzbekistan. In this “very important” session, the players showed great concentration.
U20 Vietnam faced the coldest weather in Fergana when the temperature dropped to 0 degrees Celsius at times. Even when head coach Hoang Anh Tuan and players went to the training ground, the temperature in this locality was only 8 degrees Celsius. However, it was sunny, so did not make the members of U20 Vietnam feel cold when practicing.
However, to keep the body warm, the players are required to wear warm shirts, tight pants, wool hats as well as wool gloves during the warm-up. After the body was warmed up, the whole team took off their warm clothes and practiced with normal clothes.
“This is a very important training session,” coach Hoanh Anh Tuan told the players during the training session as well as asking the players to seriously perform the exercises. It can be said that this is the most important tactical training session of U20 Vietnam when coming to Fergana to prepare for the opening match against U20 Australia. Because even though there is still a session tomorrow, it is only a “warm-up” practice when the next day has played.
During this training session lasting exactly 1 and a half hours, coach Hoang Anh Tuan asked the players to re-practice the stages of organizing offensive and defensive ball deployments when dividing the team into two groups. The coach of U20 Vietnam attentively watched every move, every coordination phase, corner kicks… so that when not satisfied, he came to give detailed instructions to help the players perform better.
Besides the weather, another obstacle in the training session of U20 Vietnam is that the quality of the pitch is not really guaranteed. The ground is patchy with many places where there is no grass as well as convexity, the soil is very soft. Faced with this situation, the coaching staff requires the players to be very careful in moving phases as well as collisions during disputes to avoid injuries. Fortunately, after the training session, Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan’s team were all healthy, no one was injured.
