VFF continues to develop international cooperation
As a dynamic and active member federation, VFF always actively participates in all events, updates information on competitive schedules and international activities to plan and have suitable preparation. The participation and contribution of VFF and members have been highly appreciated by AFC and AFF.
Besides that, in the business trip, Vietnam President Nguyen Xuan Phuc met FIFA President in New York (USA) on Sep 2021 within the framework of the high-level joint discussion of the 76th United Nations General Assembly, and in Geneve (Switzerland) on Nov 2021. This shows the interest of the Government as well as FIFA in the development of Vietnamese football.
In 2021, VFF continued to extend the cooperation with overseas countries such as Germany (through the partnership of Bundesliga and Next Media), French football federation, Royal Spanish Football Federation, Argentina Football Association through the Ambassies and diplomatic programs of Vietnam; Continue to extend the contracts with Korea Football Association, Japan Football Association; sign the contract with Saudi Arabia Football Federation.
VFF continues to receive support from FIFA, AFC, and international football organisations through projects such as FIFA Forward, AFAP, UEFA Assist, Emerging Support Fund of AFC.
In 2023, AFC decided to allow Vietnam to have 2 slots ((one direct and one indirect) joining in AFC Champions League, it shows the appreciation of AFC for the efforts and achievements of Vietnamese football during recent times.
