VFF Executive Committee 9th Convention decided important issues of Vietnamese football
In the afternoon of Jan 08, the VFF Executive Committee 9th Convention (term 2018 – 2022) was organised in Hanoi with both online and offline participants. The convention discussed and approved important issues, in which the most attended is the organisation of VFF Annual Congress 2021 and key plans of 2022.

The delegation included 15 in total 16 members of VFF 8th Executive Committee (term 2018 – 2022), Chairman of Judicial Committee, President of National Coach Council, presentative of Bongdaplus, VFF General Secretary, and Deputy General Secretaries were convened to report on related work at the Convention.
Speaking at the Convention, on behalf of the VFF Standing Executive Committee, VFF President Le Khanh Hai thanked the member of the committee for the responsibility and solidarity, closely followed and timely directed the tasks related to Vietnamese football, with the responsibility and active coordination of the member organizations, clubs, the companionship of the Sponsors and the support of the media agencies, Vietnam Football has gradually completed the set goals and plans.
According to the agenda, the Convention discussed and voted on the reports:
- Schedule of National Professional Tournaments 2022;
- Schedule of National Non-professional Tournament 2022;
- Agree on the slot promote/relegate in the professional and non-professional tournaments 2022, as below:
– V.League 1: 1 relegate slot;
– V.League 2: 02 promote slots; 01 relegation slot;
– Division 2: 02 promote slot;
– Division 3: the number of promoting and relegate slots will be decided by the Executive Committee based on the evaluation and suggestion of functional departments.
1. Agree to support administrative activities for the Football Association members of VFF: 50 million/year/member;
2. Assign the Executive Committee to approve the Regulations’ framework of the national professional football tournaments in 2022 and authorize the Standing Executive Committee to approve the adjustment of the Regulation when problems are arising during the organization of the tournaments.
3. Agree to dismiss members of the Licensing Commission and Licensing Committee, term VIII (term of 2018-2022), and at the same time appoint a member of VFF Licensing Committee, term VIII (term 2018-2022);
4. Approving the 2021 financial report;
5. Approving the financial estimate for 2022, etc.
Related to the preparation for the VFF Annual Congress 2021, some key contents were approved included: Draft Agenda of the 2021 VFF Annual Congress term VIII, Draft Review Report of VFF Executive Committee 2021, term VIII; Agree to submit to the Congress the proposed list of Chairmans, Delegate Examination Board, Secretariat, propose the General Assembly to approve the personnel plan according to the provisions of the VFF Regulation.
In the morning of Jan 09, the VFF Annual Congress 2021 is held at VFF’s house both online and offline.
