During the meeting, President Trần Quốc Tuấn praised the players for their spirit and efforts throughout the demanding period of the recent V.League season. He also acknowledged the team’s professionalism in maintaining their fitness and stable form, allowing them to quickly adapt upon joining the national squad. President Trần Quốc Tuấn extended his congratulations to forward Nguyễn Xuân Son, who has fully recovered after a long injury layoff and is now ready to contribute once again to the national team.

VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn emphasized that the national team must maintain their utmost focus and determination in the remaining qualifying matches, seizing every opportunity in the race to secure a place at the 2027 AFC Asian Cup Finals.

On this occasion, President Trần Quốc Tuấn also highlighted the remarkable achievements of Vietnamese football in 2025, with five national teams having qualified for the continental finals — the senior women’s team, the U23 men’s team, the national futsal team, the U20 women’s team, and the U17 women’s team. In addition, the U17 men’s team is currently being given favorable conditions for training in Japan, aiming to become the sixth Vietnamese team to qualify for an Asian-level tournament.

Building on these positive achievements, VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn expressed his confidence that the Vietnam national team will continue to affirm its position in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, starting with the upcoming away match against Laos on November 19. President Trần Quốc Tuấn also emphasized that these matches are not only important in terms of results but also serve as valuable opportunities to improve Vietnam’s FIFA ranking — thereby enhancing the team’s brand and gaining a more favorable position in future official international tournament draws.

On behalf of the coaching staff and the entire team, head coach Kim Sang-sik expressed his deep gratitude to VFF President Trần Quốc Tuấn for his constant attention and support for the national team through every stage. Coach Kim Sang-sik affirmed that the Vietnam national team always takes the field with the sole objective of winning. “The upcoming match against Laos will be our final game of 2025, and we will give our best effort to bring complete joy to our fans,” said Coach Kim Sang-sik.

For his part, team captain Đỗ Duy Mạnh expressed the players’ strong determination. He said: “Each player may have different roles and responsibilities, but we all share the same goal — to build a united team, overcome challenges, and live up to the trust and support of our fans.”

Later that afternoon, the Vietnam national team continued their training session at Việt Trì Stadium, focusing on finalizing tactical preparations before departing for Laos on November 15.
