VFF’s leaders met to wish the two national U14 and U16 Women’s teams a Happy New Year
On the morning of January 20, on behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation’s leadership, Deputy General Secretary Nguyen Thanh Ha met and wished a Happy New Year to the coaching staff and players of the U14 and U16 national women’s football teams, before the two teams took the Tet holiday.
Deputy Secretary General Nguyen Thanh Ha said she was very happy to meet the members of the U14 and U16 national women’s football teams (concentrating and training long-term to prepare for tasks in 2025), and at the same time sent her congratulations to the entire coaching staff, 22 U14 athletes, 24 U16 athletes and their families for a new year of health, peace and prosperity.
According to the plan, from January 21, the players of the two young women’s teams will temporarily stop training to return to their families to celebrate the Lunar New Year. It is expected that on February 2, the two teams will gather again at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. In order to celebrate Tet with their families smoothly and happily, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha did not forget to remind the team members to ensure safety in traveling and to return early in the spring to continue the work schedule in the new year.
As part of the VFF’s long-term training plan, from January 1, 2025, two national U14 and U16 women’s football teams will be established. The first training session of 2025 of the two teams will end on May 31. The training of the two national U14 and U16 women’s football teams is not only to train resources for the national women’s teams in general, but also to prepare for two international events in 2025, including the Southeast Asian U16 Women’s Championship and the Asian U17 Women’s Championship qualifiers.
