VFF’s President Tran Quoc Tuan meets and encourages the Vietnam team to participate in the AFC Asian Cup 2023
On the afternoon of January 3, VFF’s President Tran Quoc Tuan had a meeting and encouraged the Vietnam team before the entire team left for Qatar to train and complete the final preparations for the 2023 Asian Cup. Also attending were Vice President of Vietnam Football Federation Nguyen Trung Kien and General Secretary of Vietnam Football Federation Duong Nghiep Khoi.
In the exciting atmosphere of the first days of the new year, President Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation, wished head coach Philippe Troussier, members of the coaching staff and all players good health and successful completion of the goals set. President of Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan also praised the team’s training spirit during the past time. Although still facing certain difficulties in terms of strength, each individual and each position in the team has tried their best to have the best preparation for the continental arena.
On behalf of the coaching staff and the team, head coach Philippe Troussier thanked the VFF leaders for their attention to the team. The French coach said he has complete faith in his students and in the team’s preparation. Although facing great challenges, the team will try to overcome them with collective solidarity, with each individual’s efforts and with confidence in what the team is aiming for.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will have their final practice session on the morning of January 4 before shortening the list to 30 players and moving to Qatar for training before the 2023 Asian Cup on January 5. During the training period in Qatar, the team will have a friendly match with Kyrgyzstan on January 9.
