Vietnam have one more AFC Elite Referee
According to the AFC’s letter, referee Tran Thi Thanh has been included in the AFC Elite Women Referee Panel 2024.

In the letter, AFC informed that Ms. Tran Thi Thanh has completed the AFC Elite course successfully. The course took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Feb 19 to Feb 22. With this result, Tran Thi Thanh has been included in the AFC Elite Women Referee Panel 2024.
To prepare for the upcoming task, referee Tran Thi Thanh will be invited to the AFC Elite Women Referees & Assistant Referees Seminar, tentatively scheduled in August 2024.
Referee Tran Thi Thanh (Thua Thien Hue) has worked as the national women’s referee since 2018 and has been recognized as a FIFA referee since 2024. Currently, Tran Thi Thanh is also a student at the AFC Referee Academy (course V) with referee Nghiem Ba Tri (Hanoi).
Before Tran Thi Thanh, Vietnam had 6 female referees and assistant referees named in the AFC Elite Women Referee Panel. However, due to health problems and injuries, the two of them asked to withdraw and have been approved by the AFC since 2023. Therefore, referee Tran Thi Thanh completed the course and became the next AFC Elite referee from Vietnam is a timely addition, continuing to affirm the capacity of Vietnamese referees in the continental arena.
