Vietnam Men’s Futsal team rise two places in FIFA Futsal World Ranking
According to the latest FIFA Futsal World Ranking for men’s national teams, Vietnam have moved up two places to 20th in the world.

On 25 September, FIFA released its latest Futsal World Ranking for men’s national teams. Vietnam were the biggest point gainers, adding 19.49 points. This lifted the Vietnam Men’s Futsal Team two places to 20th in the world and third in Southeast Asia. Thailand remain the highest-ranked team in the region at 11th in the world, followed by Indonesia in 14th.
The impressive rise was earned thanks to the strong performance of head coach Diego Giustozzi’s side at the Continental Futsal Championship 2026, held last August. At the tournament organised by the Football Association of Thailand, Vietnam held world No. 7 Russia to a 2-2 draw and world No. 11 Thailand to a 3-3 draw. They also recorded a 4-1 victory over New Zealand, ranked 48th in the world, and a 2-1 win against Afghanistan, ranked 21st.
In the women’s ranking, the Vietnam Women’s Futsal Team maintained their position at 11th in the world, fourth in Asia and second in Southeast Asia. Thailand, ranked seventh in the world, remained second in Asia and first in Southeast Asia.
According to FIFA, the next Futsal World Ranking for both men’s and women’s national teams is scheduled to be released on 11 December.
