Vietnam U20 Women’s National Team arrives in Bangkok, ready for the 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup
This morning (March 29), the Vietnam U20 Women’s national team departed for Thailand, officially kicking off their journey at the 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Finals.
Coach Okiyama Masahiko and his players departed from Tan Son Nhat International Airport and touched down at Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Bangkok) at 10:30 AM (local time). After completing immigration procedures, the entire squad quickly moved to the Jubilee Prestige Ratchadaphisek Hotel to check in, settle into their accommodation, and prepare for upcoming technical activities.
Prior to their departure for Thailand, the coaching staff finalized the squad, narrowing it down to the 23-player rosterregistered for the tournament.
At the 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup, Vietnam U20 Women are placed in a group alongside China, Thailand, and Bangladesh. According to the match schedule, Vietnam will kick off their campaign against China at 4:00 PM on April 1 at the Nonthaburi Stadium.
The 2026 AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup is held in Thailand from April 1 to 18, 2026, featuring 12 teams divided into three groups. The teams will compete in a single round-robin format. Following the group stage, the three group winners, three runners-up, and the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarter-finals in a knockout format. Notably, the top four teams in the tournament will qualify as Asia’s representatives for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
Immediately after settling into their accommodation, the Vietnam U20 Women’s team will begin their training sessions to finalize their preparations, aiming for a spirited performance and positive results on the continental stage.
