Vietnam women’s futsal team completes training camp in Japan, ready for the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship
At 1:25 PM today (April 26), the Vietnam women’s futsal team arrived at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, concluding their training camp in Japan in preparation for the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship.
According to the plan, the team will resume training at 3:00 PM tomorrow (April 27). The coaching staff will focus on correcting mistakes revealed during the two recent matches, as well as practicing tactical drills to best prepare for the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship in China.
Assessing the training camp, head coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng said:
“We had two quality and valuable matches in Japan. Playing against the Japanese national team, which features a fast-paced, high-intensity, and diverse playing style, allowed our players to gain valuable experience. This was an important preparation step ahead of the major tournament coming up.”
The 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship will take place from May 7 to May 18 in China. The Vietnam women’s futsal team is placed in Group B alongside Iran, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.
Under the tournament format, the top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarterfinals. The top three teams (champions, runners-up, and third-place finishers) will earn a spot at the 2025 Women’s Futsal World Cup, which will be held at the end of the year.
