Vietnam Women’s National Team return home after SEA Games 33, closing an emotional journey
This afternoon (December 18), the Vietnam Women’s National Team returned home, bringing to an end their journey at the 33rd SEA Games and closing the tournament after a heartbreaking defeat to the Philippines Women’s National Team in the women’s football final held in Thailand.
From Bangkok (Thailand), the team was divided into two groups. The players and coaching staff from the southern group landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 16:05, while head coach Mai Đức Chung and the northern group arrived at Noi Bai International Airport at 18:20 on the same day.
At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam Women’s National Team displayed great fighting spirit, resilience and determination, overcoming many opponents to reach the final. Although they were unable to successfully defend the championship, the team still left strong impressions in terms of performance and dedication, earning widespread recognition and support from fans at home.
After returning home, the players will take some time to rest before rejoining their clubs, while also setting their sights on the next important goals of Vietnamese women’s football in the period ahead.
