Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia visits and encourages Vietnam U23 ahead of semifinal match
On the morning of July 24, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Ta Van Thong, visited and encouraged the Vietnam U23 National Team ahead of their semifinal match against U23 Philippines at the 2025 ASEAN U23 Championship. Accompanying the Ambassador were officials and leaders from the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia.
Welcoming the delegation at the team’s base, Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Head of the Vietnam U23 delegation at the tournament – expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Ta Van Thong for his special attention to the team, as well as the timely and effective support from the Vietnamese Embassy whenever the national teams travel to compete in Indonesia. Mr. Tran Anh Tu affirmed that the entire squad is maintaining a high level of determination and has thoroughly prepared to aim for the best possible result in the semifinal match.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Ta Van Thong shared that despite his busy schedule at the Embassy, he has closely followed the activities of the team since their arrival in Indonesia. He congratulated the entire squad on achieving their goal of topping Group B and expressed his belief that, with unity, focus, and the desire to give their best, the Vietnam U23 team will defeat U23 Philippines and advance to the final.
The Ambassador also noted that although the Vietnamese community in Indonesia is still relatively small, they will certainly continue to come to the stadium to support the team. This is a meaningful source of encouragement, reflecting the affection and trust that the overseas Vietnamese community has for the national team.
