Da Nang held a ceremony to receive the V-League Cup after drawing 1-1 with Khanh Hoa at Chi Lang stadium on 16 August.

After the start, Da Nang dominated the game and took the lead in the 28th minute when Nguyen Rogerio scored the opener with his perfect header.
In the second half, Quang Hai levelled the score for Khanh Hoa from a close range in the 52nd minute.
Meanwhile, Duc Duong’s brace helped Nam Dinh thrash Ho Chi Minh City club 2-0 in a do-or-die match at Thien Truong stadium, earning three very precious points. With the victory, Nam Dinh moved from 12th place into 11th in the table and Ho Chi Minh City club slipped into 13th place with 29 points, facing relegation.

Military Zone IV also secured a 2-0 win at Hai Phong to rank 12th with 30 points.
Thach Bao Khanh’s hattrick helped The Cong draw 3-3 with hosts Dong Tam Long An and T & T Hanoi were held 1-1 by Song Lam Nghe An at Hang Day stadium, dropping to the 4th place.
Binh Duong trounced Hoang Anh Gia Lai 3-1 at Go Dau stadium, moving from 4th into 2nd place while Dong Thap demolished Thanh Hoa 6-0.
