VPF announces new branding for Vietnam’s Professional Football Competitions, aiming for international standards
The new VPF brand identity is designed to reflect the aspirations of Vietnamese football to reach new heights, enhance modernity, connect with multiple generations of fans, and increase the brand value and attractiveness of the tournaments.
On the afternoon of August 6th, the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) officially announced its new brand identity and the new national professional football league system, along with the slogan “World Game, Our Festival – International Playground, National Festival”.
The new branding is being applied uniformly across the professional league system, including the National Championship (V.League 1), the National First Division (V.League 2), and the National Cup.
According to VPF, this is not only a change in image but also marks a shift in the strategy for developing professional football in Vietnam.
The brand identity was developed with the goal of reflecting the aspirations of Vietnamese football to reach new heights, increasing its modernity, creating connections with multiple generations of fans, and simultaneously enhancing the brand value and attractiveness of the tournaments.
The slogan “World Game, Our Festival” reflects VPF’s development philosophy: football is a global sport , but in Vietnam it is infused with a unique cultural identity, where each match is not just a competition but also a festival for fans.
In terms of design, the new VPF logo is inspired by the number 8 – a symbol of growth and prosperity in East Asian culture. The logo is made up of eight geometric shapes in a minimalist, modern style, representing the spirit of innovation and the aspiration for sustainable development.
Meanwhile, the logos of the leagues are built on two main symbols: the letter V (Vietnam, V.League, Victory) and the image of the championship trophy, representing the aspiration to conquer and the ultimate goal of the teams.
The brand identity system uses two main colors, red and yellow, to honor national spirit, combined with a custom-designed font to create consistency across all media platforms and tournament organization.
A VPF representative stated that the launch of the new brand identity will serve as a foundation for the organization to continue implementing solutions to improve organizational quality, build a professional, transparent, and modern football environment, and increase the commercial value of the leagues, aiming to make each season a “national festival” for fans.
