FIFA President expresses desire to establish a FIFA Football Academy in Vietnam
On the afternoon of October 26, during his participation in the 47th ASEAN Summit and related high-level meetings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
President Gianni Infantino reaffirmed his high appreciation and strong support for the development of Vietnamese football.
He noted that in recent years, Vietnamese football has made significant progress, with players showing continuous improvement in both physical fitness and technical skills. President Infantino expressed his desire to establish a FIFA Football Academy in Vietnam, which would contribute to further enhancing the capacity and overall development of Vietnamese football.
Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính expressed his gratitude to President Gianni Infantino for his continuous support of Vietnamese football and expressed his hope that the FIFA President would continue to assist in its development, including fostering connections between Vietnamese football and Italian football, one of the world’s leading football nations.
The Prime Minister also extended an invitation to President Infantino to visit Vietnam and take part in upcoming football-related activities in the country. Mr. Infantino gladly accepted the invitation.
