Friendly match at Hamamatsu, U17 Vietnam drew with Tokoha University after leading by 3 goals
On the afternoon of May 31, the U17 Vietnam had the third friendly match within the framework of the training camp in Hamamatsu, Japan. The opponent this time is the Tokoha University team, the team is highly appreciated for its quality as well as experience compared to U17 Vietnam.
In order to continue to evaluate and test the squad and gameplay, U17 Vietnam’s coaching assistants agreed with the team to organize the match into 3 halfs of 40 minutes each. In the first half, coach Hoang Anh Tuan brought on the field the factors that are performing very well during the last training period. With this lineup, U17 Vietnam played ahead of the other team and scored 3 goals, of which Cong Phuong opened the scoring and Vi Dinh Thuong scored a double.
In the second and third half, coach Hoang Anh Tuan alternated positions on the field to create opportunities for all players to play. Despite changing the squad, U17 Vietnam still showed good ball control, a coherent way of organizing defense and deploying attacks. However, when drifted to the last minutes of the match, the U17 Vietnam did not maintain the necessary concentration and had to pay the price with 3 consecutive goals. The match then ended with a score of 3-3.
