Friendly match: National Team – U22 team: 3-2
On the afternoon of Dec 23, the first friendly match between the National team and U22 team kicked-off at Cẩm Phả Stadium (Quảng Ninh). After 90 minutes, the victory belonged to the National team with a score of 3-2.
National team: Văn Quyết (26’), Xuân Trường (pen 55’), Đức Chinh (78’)
U22 team: Văn Đạt (22’), Hữu Thắng (pen 57’)
For squad testing, head coach Park Hang-seo almost used new players of the national team, in which, there were Tấn Trường, Văn Quyết.
Meanwhile, the U22 team with the youth and high spirits had a good starting. 21st minute, Huỳnh Công Đến kicked-off an attack, then Hữu Thắng received the ball and passed to Trần Văn Đạt to make an open goal of the game.
After the goal back, the national team had more concern. 26th minute, Văn Quyết had a goal down 1-1.
The second half was extremely exciting. Hữu Thắng had a second goal for the U22 team from a distance of 11m.
5 minutes later, Xuân Trường had a second goal for the national team. And until the 78th minute, Xuân Mạnh had a goal to bring victory 3-2 for the national team.
After the match, head coach Park Hang-seo appreciated the U22 team. He hopes they will have more development in the next match at 17h00 on Dec 29 at Việt Trì Stadium, Phú Thọ.
