Goalkeeper coach Kim Hyun Tae arrived at VFF
On the morning of Dec 13, Mr. Kim Hyun Tae – former goalkeeper coach of the Korea National Team arrived at VFF after 14 days quarantine under the guidance of the Ministry of Health (MOH) to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic. The appearance of coach Kim Hyun Tae is a part of the development strategy of the youth national team, particularly the goalkeeper position.
After completing the registration and quarantine time as the guidance of MOH, Mr. Kim Hyun Tae comes to VFF and stays with other experts at Vietnam Youth Football Training. Mr. Nguyễn Minh Châu – VFF Deputy General Secretary welcomes Mr. Kim at VFF and discusses relevant issues.
Hence, the former goalkeeper coach of the Korea National Team will in charge of the training for goalkeepers of the U17 and U19 National teams. This is an important position in the achievements of the football team.
Mr. Kim Hyun Tae was born in 1961, had the AFC Professional Coaching Diploma, and is an outstanding coach in Korea with 2 times in charge of training goalkeepers for Korea National team at World Cup 2002 and 2012, and worked for Korea Olympic team 1998-2000. Besides that, Mr. Kym Hyun Tae also worked for strong teams in K-league such as FC Seoul, Jeju United, Incheon United. Before that, as a football player, Mr. Kim Hyun Tae was an excellent player of Korea Football with 2 titles of the Best Goalkeeper at K.League (1985 and 1986)
