Hanoi Department of Justice awards the decision to acquire Vietnamese citizenship to goalkeeper Nguyen Filip
This morning (December 19), the Hanoi Department of Justice held a ceremony to award the President’s Decision to acquire Vietnamese citizenship to goalkeeper Nguyen Filip. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam, the Vietnam Football Federation, leaders of the Hanoi Department of Justice, Hanoi Police Football Club, and goalkeeper Nguyen Philip.
At the ceremony, Nguyen Filip and his family thanked the leaders, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation, especially President of the Vietnam Football Federation Tran Quoc Tuan, for their interest and support in helping goalkeeper Nguyen Filip obtain Vietnamese citizenship, creating a premise for goalkeeper Nguyen Filip to contribute to the country and Vietnamese football in the future.
As part of the preparation plan for the 2023 Asian Cup, Nguyen Filip was also named by head coach Philippe Troussier in the preliminary list of 50 players for the Vietnam team and confirmed by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) as eligible to compete for the Vietnam team following FIFA regulations.
Currently, goalkeeper Nguyen Filip is trying to show his best form to be on the shortlist of the Vietnam team on December 28.
