Hoa Sen Corporation sponsors national team

The Hoa Sen Corporation will continue to sponsor the Vietnamese national and Olympic football teams. The corporation and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) today signed a renewed sponsorship contract in Hanoi.

Even the detail of the contract was not revealed, according to the local media, the value of the contract between the Hoa Sen Corporation and the VFF is US$100,000, equal to the value of the contract signed between the VFF and Yamaha Motor Vietnam.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Vu Quang Vinh, vice president of the VFF, spoke highly of the Hoa Sen Corporation’s contributions to the development of Vietnamese football.

The corporation has sponsored for awards for best Vietnamese referee and referee assistant since 2006. It sponsored the Vietnam national team at the 2007 Southeast Asian football championship, a football tournament for SOS villages and a tournament for disadvantaged children.

Le Phuoc Vu, president of the Hoa Sen Corporation, said he was delighted as his corporation could further contribute to the development of Vietnamese football, considering it a responsibility of such an enterprise like the Hoa Sen Corporation. Mr Vu said that Hoa Sen would continue to work with the VFF over the coming years.

Also, on this occasion, Mr Vu announced a bonus of US $5,000 for the national team if they win in a friendly against Bahrain on June 30.

The Hoa Sen Corporation is the second sponsor for the Vietnamese national and Olympic team. After Yamaha Motor Vietnam and the Hoa Sen Corporation, the VFF is expected to sign a contract with another sponsor, who was reported to be a mineral water producer.
