India joins the International Tournament organised by VFF in Sep
On August 26, FIFA issued notice No. 1808 on the lifting of the decision to suspend operations worldwide for the All India Football Federation (AIFF). Hence, AIFF is entitled to participate in football activities around the world.
After the decision of FIFA, VFF General Secretary Le Hoai Anh said that the India team will participate in the international football tournament organised by the VFF next September in Ho Chi Minh City (on the occasion of FIFA days).
This tournament is a part of the preparation for the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022.
This tournament has Vietnam team and 2 away teams Singapore and India. 3 teams will play 1 round-robin to find out the champion. As planned, Vietnam team will play against Singapore team on Sep 21 and India on Sep 27. Meanwhile, Singapore team and India team will face together on Sep 24.
As discussed by VFF and head coach Park Hang-seo, to prepare for the tournament, Vietnam team will gather on Sep 17 after the 16th round of Night Wolf V.League 1-2022.
Head coach Park Hang-seo and assistants are actively observing the matches of V.League 1 to select players who have good performance as well as new potential players for the upcoming AFF Cup 2022.
