V-League contracts with new sponsor

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) signed a sponsorship contract with European Plastics Window Company (Eurowindow) for the National Football Championships V-League.

This is the most anticipated news in Vietnam football, as the championship has waited for a primary sponsor since the V-League kicked off on January 15.

As the signing ceremony yesterday, the VFF”s exclusive marketer the Vietnam Football Development Joint Stock Company signed a one-year contract with the interior decoration business.

The V-League had more difficulty finding sponsorship this year because Dat Viet Sport Marketing company withdrew sponsorship following match fixing allegations among U-23 national team members at the SEA Games last December in the Philippines, and in past national championships.

“We are so happy today that the national championship have found funding, and sponsors have not turned their back on football after such a serious crisis,” said VFF”s General Secretary Tran Quoc Tuan.

It is expected that the name of the tournament would bear the new name Eurowindow V-League from the 10th round, which will be played at stadiums nationwide on Sunday.
