The final round of the ‘Viettel Cultivates Football Dreams 2012-2013’ programme is taking place in Hanoi from June 10-14, with the participation of 130 outstanding young footballers.
The programme, organised by the Vietnam Military Telecommunications Group (Viettel) and the Nhi Dong (Children’s) Newspaper, aims to create an useful and healthful playground for children, who live the dream of becoming a professional footballer.
The young footballers, aged between eight and ten, were selected from 5,000 players from cities and provinces across the country.
The footballers passed pre-qualifying rounds in Thai Binh, Ha Tinh, Ca Mau, Ben Tre, Dak Lak, Da Nang and Cao Bang, as well as Yen Bai and Ho Chi Minh City.
The best players in the final round will have a chance to be train at the Viettel Football Training Centre.
