Việt Nam in Group 4 for FIFA U20 World Cup
FIFA has announced the seeds for the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup draw in South Korea.
Việt Nam are in Group 4 with Ecuador, South Africa, Iran, Guinea and Vanuatu.
Group 1 consists of South Korea, Portugal, Uruguay, France, the US and Germany. Group 2 includes Mexico, Argentina, New Zealand, Senegal, Japan and Costa Rica, while Zambia, Honduras, England, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Venezuela are in Group 3.
The draw for the South Korea event will take place today in South Korea. After Japan and Mexico, South Korea is the third nation to have hosted all of FIFA Men’s international competitions, namely the 2002 FIFA World Cup, the 2001 Confederations Cup and the 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup.
The competition will begin on May 20 with the final scheduled for June 11.
To prepare for the Cup, Việt Nam will convene in Nha Trang on March 21.
