Kim Chi asks to retire from national football

Captain Doan Kim Chi has asked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism if she could retire from the national women”s football team.

“I have an injury in my left thigh and can”t play or train well. Right now I want to rest with my family.” Chi said.

With Kim Chi absent, the team will lack a breadwinner who plays well as both a striker and half-back.

The team will train at the National Sports Centre No 1 in Nhon town, near Ha Noi tomorrow.
