Mr. Ngo Le Bang was newly appointed as VFF General Secretary
After the 8th meeting of VFF Executive Committee meeting, President Nguyen Trong Hy signed the decision to appoint Mr. Ngo Le Bang as new General Secretary of Vietnam Football Federation to replace Dr. Tran Quoc Tuan in the period from now until the end of VI VFF Congress (2013).
Speaking at the press conference, President Nguyen Trong Ky said that Mr. Ngo Le Bang has undergone methodical training scheme in SoVietMilitarySportUniversity, has the advantage in foreign language and football experience through many years. Therefore, when decide Mr. Ngo Le Bang as new General Secretary and receive supports from Executive Committee as well as the members of General Secretary Committee, VFF leaders believe that Mr. Ngo Le Bang will fulfill his assigned tasks.
For my part, new VFF General Secretary Ngo Le Bang also expressed confidences in his new role. Mr. Ngo Le Bang said that: “This is a great honor and also the greatest responsibility that I had in my football career. It also put many challenges and pressures on my personal. However, with the support of VFF leaders, the assistances from General Secretary Committee Colleagues, over 40 years of football experiences and has undertaken many management positions, I believe that I can fulfill my tasks”.
In addition to agreeing to appoint Mr. Ngo Le Bang as Vietnam Football Federation General Secretary, on the basis of National Coaches Council consultations, VFF Executive Committee meeting also agreed with VFF policy on selecting local coach lead National Team and granted to VFF in cooperation with National Coach Council to work with candidates, report the Standing Committee for signing contract after reaching an agreement.
Expected in March, after negotiating with candidates, VFF will coordinate with National Coach Council to conduct the recruitment and announce the identity of National Team head coach. As planned, the first task of new head coach would be leading U22 prepare for the U22 Asia qualifier on next June, planning National Team aim to the most important target in year, AFF Cup 2012.
