Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú was appointed as the General Secretary of VFF for the 9th Term (2022-2026)
At the 7th meeting of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Executive Committee for the 9th Term (2022-2026), it was unanimously agreed to appoint Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú as the General Secretary of the VFF for the 9th Term (2022-2026), replacing Mr. Dương Nghiệp Khôi, who resigned from the position of General Secretary of the VFF due to personal reasons.

Before being appointed as the General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú held the position of Deputy Head of the VFF’s Medical Committee and Head of the Sports Medicine Department at the VFF. He is recognized for his extensive experience in management, having previously held various roles, including Head of the Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy Department at the Vietnam Sports Hospital, Secretary of the Clinical Department Party Cell at the Vietnam Sports Hospital Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Hospital, and Secretary of the Party Cell and Director of the Doping and Sports Medicine Center. Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú is also well-known as an active participant in international football activities, serving as a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Medical Committee and contributing to numerous sports medicine events both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú officially began his role as the General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) on November 23, 2024, for the remainder of the 9th Term of the VFF. This decision was officially announced at the 2024 VFF Annual Congress, which took place this morning (November 22) at the VFF headquarters.
