Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan holds the position of Acting President of Vietnam Football Federation, term 8th (2018-2022)
The VFF Annual Congress on Jan 09 agreed to approve the personnel of VFF Executive Committee term 8th (2018-2022) in accordance with the provisions of VFF Regulation. Accordingly, Mr. Le Khanh Hai resigned from concurrently holding the position of VFF President term 8th (2018-2022), Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – Vice Permanent President assumed the position of Acting President until the election of the President at the VFF Congress 9th (2022 – 2026).

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Le Khanh Hai – Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the President’s Office, President of the LDBDVN thanked the member organizations of the LDBDVN for their trust in voting and assigned the responsibility to ensure held the position of Chairman of the LDBDVN at the VIII Congress (term of 2018-2022). “The term 8th is still one year away from ending. Due to the requirements of the job I am undertaking at the Office of the President, with the consent of the Organization, I would like to resign from concurrently holding the position of VFF President term 8th 2018-2022 to focus on work… Looking back on the past 3 years of my term, I am personally very happy when all the responsible people in the Vietnamese Football family, including the Executive Committee collective, member organizations, clubs, affiliated units, and VFF’s staff have shown a sense of responsibility and importance in the role of management and administration, orientation and direct implementation of many activities. work to stabilize and accelerate the development of Vietnamese football” – said Mr. Le Khanh Hai – Member of the Central Party Committee, Chairman of the President’s Office, VFF’s President.
He argued that: “I believe that my successor according to the provisions of VFF Regulation will fulfill the role of Acting President in the remaining year of term 8th, thereby creating a favorable premise towards new plans, new goals, and new ambitions for the VFF Congress term 9th 2022-2026″.
With the 100% confidence of the VFF Annual Congress 2021, term VIII (term of 2018-2022), Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – VFF Acting President said: “I am feeling the big responsibility that the Congress today has trusted and entrusted me to assume the position of Acting President of VFF, until the election of the 9th President term of 2022-2026.
I would like to thank the trust of Congress as well as authorities, the VFF Executive Committee, and President Le Khanh Hai. This trust is my honor as well as a responsibility to continue to work for the development of Vietnamese football”.
Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – VFF Acting President affirmed that he would continue to work with the Standing Committee and members of the Vietnamese football family to promote the achievements of Vietnamese football; uphold the spirit of solidarity, togetherness, determination to strive, and make every effort for the development of Vietnamese football in the coming time, meeting the interest of the Government and the expectations of the home fans.
In order to fulfill the assigned responsibilities, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – Acting President hopes to continue to receive the trust and support of the Executive Committee, member organizations, and clubs. “I believe that, with consensus and the promotion of collective intellectual strength, Vietnamese football will complete the targets in the spirit of the Resolution of Congress term 8th set out in the remaining period of the term. “- Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan said.
