Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan officially became the representative of AFF to join the AFC Executive Committee
At the 2023 AFF Ordinary Congress, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – President of the Vietnam Football Federation received high trust from the Congress, thereby officially becoming the representative of the AFF to participate in the AFC Executive Committee for the term 2023 – 2027.
This is the fourth consecutive time Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan has appeared in the AFC Executive Committee. The first time Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan was elected to this position was at the AFC Congress for the 2011-2015 term. Since his first term as a member of the AFC Executive Committee until now, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan has always received high appreciation from AFC and AFC member organizations through his effectively comments and suggestions for the development of Asian football. In addition, as Head of the AFC Competition Committee, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan is also regularly trusted for the position of Chief Executive Officer of the organization at major Asian tournaments including the Asian Cup. Most recently, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan took on the role of Head of the AFC delegation managing men’s and women’s football at Asiad 19. In the organizational structure of AFF, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan is serving as a member of the AFF Council and Chairman of AFF Competition Committee.
As part of the program, the AFF 2023 Ordinary Congress also elected 01 additional position of Vice President of AFF according to the provisions of the Charter. As a result, Mr. Mariano V.Araneta Jr. – The President of the Philippine Football Federation was elected Vice President of AFF, thereby joining the three current AFF Vice Presidents: Mr. Pengiran Haji Matusin Bin Pengiran HajiMatasan (Malaysia), Mr. Francisco Martins Da Costa Pereira Jeronimo (Timor-Leste) and Ms. Maaike Ira Puspita (Indonesia) completes the senior leadership of AFF, aiming for great goals of Southeast Asian football in the coming time.
