OFFICIAL: Vietnam to compete in the Maurice Revello Tournament 2020
According to the confirmation of VFF, the organizer of Maurice Toulon Revello 2020 had the official notification about the joining of U21 Vietnam.
This is the 48th edition of the Maurice Revello Tournament. Last year, U21 Brazil became the champion after winning the penalty against Japan, before that, both teams had a draw 1-1.
The format of the competition remains identical to previous years: 12 teams will participate in the Tournament and will be divided into 3 groups of 4 teams each. At the end of the group phase, the winners of each group and the best runner-up qualify for the semi-finals. The remaining teams play ranking matches.
The organizer of Maurice Toulon Revello 2020 emphasized Vietnam’s first-ever appearance at the Maurice Revello Tournament illustrates once again the organization’s desire to open the competition every year to new nations.
This year, the tournament will take place from June 1 to 14 in the Bouches-du-Rhône department. After announcing the participation of DR Congo, Japan, and England, we are glad to confirm that Vietnam will compete in the Tournament for the first time.
