The match was an official international game for the team in preparation for the Southeast Asian Games in Laos this December.
The host team scored first, but the Korean team fought back to win the game.
After a scoreless draw in the first half, playmaker Phan Thanh Hung fired a 30m shot past Korean keeper Jung In-wan.
However, the visitors tied the score within two minutes, when Hong Youl took a low shot past Vietnamese goalie Bui Tan Truong.
With five minutes left, striker Min Ho was faster than the Vietnamese defenders and netted the ball to seal a 2-1 win for the Korean team.
Vietnam’s U-23 team has a little more than one month to prepare for the SEA Games.
