On the morning of 2nd Mar, head coach Mai Duc Chung announced the shortlist of the Women team who go to Australia to join the play-off of the Olympic Tokyo 2020 Qualifier.

Discuss this decision, head coach Mai Duc Chung argued that the young players joined the team to get familiar with the training program of the national team and prepare for the future.
“Against a strong opponent as Australia, the team needs to focus on the defense as much as possible”. Head coach Mai Duc Chung said.
According to the plan, Vietnam Women Team will go to Australia today afternoon (2nd Mar) from Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), then transits at Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City), and arrives at Sydney (Australia). The team will stay at Holidays Inn Express Newcastle during the time in Australia. After that, on 7th Mar, the team will fly from Sydney to Hanoi, and move to Quang Ninh to join in the second-leg of the play-off at Cam Pha Stadium.
